Friday Favourite #3 Activia Kiwi
Ok, so its not as exciting or glamorous as an Urban Decay giveaway but these posts are about what my favourite of the week and this week its a yoghurt.
I was at my folks a few days ago for dinner and I decided to help myself to a yoghurt, as you do!
I realize kiwi sounds a bit odd as far as a yoghurt flavours go, but its SOO GOOD!
Sweet but not sickly, slightly tart so quite refreshing and the bits of kiwi that are in it still resemble kiwi instead of being squishy mush. Really love this stuff.
The only down side I've found to this is it only comes as part of the summer fruits 8 pack so for every 2 of these i get i need to eat my way through 6 others, but according to the lovely Gok Wan apparently eating all this will make me feel good on the inside.
i don't know about that but i do know i'll be eating this like its going out of fashion, and be warned, if your round my house any time soon i may force you to eat a strawberry yoghurt.....
Whats your favourite this week?

MUA Fur Effects Fluff & Cuddles
After my previous foray into the weird and wonderful world of textured nails with the MUA Nail Constellations. I was excited to see the Fur Effects range launched.
I bought mine online straight from the MUA website and i was most impressed i chose standard shipping and my product was with me near enough the next day.
The little tub essentially contains coloured fluff and the instructions say to apply it over your favourite MUA polish. I don't have an MUA polish in a colour similar enough so i dug out my OPI Louvre me, Louvre me not, which although not the exact color i felt it gave a good base for the raspberry coloured fluff.
The finished effect, as you can see in the picture below, is what i'd call "interesting" it reminds me alot of the fuzzy felt i used to play with as a kid. Its also a bit on the clumpy side for my liking, but i reckon a bit more fluffing (i'm sorry that just sounds wrong!!) before application would sort that and i think next time i give this a try i'd leave a bit more time before brushing off the excess as i seem to have left my poor old pinkie with a
slight bald patch.
As for how this wore throughout the day, well, it actually held up quite well, even through washing my hands, obviously i took a bit more care than usually but they dried after a minute or so. I wouldn't want to do anything too challenging with my hands while wearing this but i do think it makes a nice novelty nail for those times where i'm in the mood for something different.
Have you tried the Fur effects? How did you get on?

Now the idea is the you paint a couple of coats of polish on and the shake the fluff through the sifter inside onto your nails.
For the life of me i could not get the stuff to come through the sifter so i took the second option of application which was to remove if the sifter and roll my nails directly in the fluff. I would recommed, er, fluffing up , the fluff before doing this. Once you've got the fluff on give it a minute or so before gently using a small fluffy brush to brush of the excess back into the tub.

MUA Nail Constellation Gemini NOTD
Today i bought a nail product instead of food with my lunch money*
Don't worry i still ate, though it was just some super noodles from the back of the communal cupboard at work rather than a nice sandwich from M&S.
Anyway, i digress, i was in Superdrug and they actually had the Nail Constellations in stock. I didn't waste any time and immediately picked one up and headed to the till. I did this so quickly i didn't actually register what colour I'd picked up until i got back to work.
I got Gemini
I've paired it here with The World is Not Enough from the James Bond Skyfall OPI collection (I'm having a bit of an affair with this shade at the moment). The micro shimmers actually match the combination of colours of the Constellation nicer than what the pictures show.
Those shades I'm on about are light pink/champagne/pink/green. The little balls are actually a heck of a lot smaller than i thought they would be. Even since the first time i saw pictures of the Ciate version i just thought they'd be....bigger. Do you know what i mean?
I really love the finished effect this gave, and while i don't have hugely high hopes for this making it through a day at my work it is an interesting enough look for me to go to the effort of applying it
This stuff requires a either a sturdy surface and a piece of folded paper (what i used) or I've since seen a video of someone using a small bowl to catch the excess, genius. Putting them back in is relatively simple, just pop off the top (carefully!) and put it in upside down (as above pic) and it acts as a funnel.
Funnel is a funny word....funnel.....hee hee :-)
Whats your favourite funny word?
*I am an adult, its a budgeting thing!
OPI German-icure by OPI NOTD
There's a definite chill in the air around these parts.
I've got a craving for knitted sweaters and mittens so out comes the deeper polishes.
In the bottle 'German-icure by OPI', from the Germany collection, looks a straight on deep vampy red colour.
Kind of bog standard staple for this time of year.
But on the nail it takes a slightly more autumnal twist.
It looks a dark brown rusty colour with a red sheen, absolutely gorgeous!
In other news, i think i might be addicted to gingerbread men.
Whats your favourite biscuit?
Let me know in the comments :-)

GOSH: Holographic Hero
I have a lovely polish post for today :-)
How I got this polish has a little bit of a story.
I was at work one day, the day before pay day to be precise. I was having a particularly rough day due to my tool of a boss and I'd gone for a stroll to superdrug to stare at the makeup because doing that has a soothing effect on me (Am I alone in that?)
This polish immediately caught my eye. I'd never managed to grab a bottle last time it was out and I stared at it for a good while. The security guard even came for a hover as I must've looked somewhat odd!
Anyway it was the day before payday, I just didn't have the pennies to splurge on polish. I went back to work, convinced it all be sold out by the next morning when I had the money.
When I got back to work iI told my colleagues (they really are good sports about my obsession) and we all had a bit of a laugh about how I'd set an alarm in my phone for the next morning to go to superdrug at opening time.
This went on for a while...
Later on as David came bag from his lunch he dropped a little pink bag onto the desk. He'd only gone and bought me it :-) He'd even had to ask the bemused sales assistant to make sure it was the right one.
I was ridiculously happy!
Onto the pics..

2 coats over my regular china glaze strong adhesion base (although i am tempted to get an aqua base to see if it really shines brighter)
My poor camera (currently using my Xperia S phone) doesn't really do this justice. When i have this on i do spend a lot of time staring at my wiggling fingers.
The bottle shot...
This pic gives a better idea of the colours that shine under the light
And the name shot...
Last time this polish was out there was a bit of a storm about the lasting power of the polish so GOSH have cleverly stated on the top that its "One night wear for Holographic Lovers'
Personally i LOVE this polish. I think i might have to use it for a pedicure in the very near future.
Is it just me or is a good Holo hard to find in the UK?
Have you got any suggestions of other Holographic polishes i could try?

Blogtober
There I was minding my own business watching You tube videos seeing everyone getting all excited over Vlogtober and I got to wondering if there was a blogging equivalent.
A quick Google search later and i found out there is!
So since I've been quite good over the past few days I think I'll give it a go.
I don't think I've quite got time to change my polish everyday so there may be a a few more general life posts but since I'm new at this it could be a way for you to get to know me and hopefully by following #blogtober on twitter I'll get to know a few new folk as well.
If you'd like to stay updated there is a few options for following on the right there ---------->
And if your taking part feel free to link your blog in the comments and i'll have a gander round your corner of the interweb as well :-)
