Fantasy Fire NOTD

This one has been around for a while now, and been in my collection since it first came out but it still makes me stare at my nails like a woman possessed.

When it first came out there was a huge amount of hype that it was a dupe for the fabled 'unicorn pee' (Clarins 230).

Having never seen that one in real life i don't really think i can comment on that, but at one point bottles of this we're flying around the interweb for silly prices.

What i definitely can tell you about is that its really like nothing else i own.

It is very sheer but the range of colours that shine from it is amazing, red, pink, green, blue, purple in a jelly base. I have used this as a topcoat and it does an incredible job at that. But as a special treat i think it's gorgeous on its own.

This is 3 coats, a 4th would have made it more opaque but i like the still slightly see through effect of 3. I took this shot in quite bright light to get some of the green to show, the effect under bog standard light is more that of the bottle shot above. But as i mentioned all the colours do make an appearance when you wiggle your nails around doing day to day things.

If you can get your hands on this i'd highly recommend it.

I'll be taking part in the #bbloggers bloghop again tomorrow so if your here from there HELLO!!
I'd love it if you subscribed, i always check out new followers blogs :-)

Saturday

Love or Hate? and Smiley Faces

So I'm not long in from a ridiculously long and tiring work day.

Just had a very pleasant trip around the #bbloggers bloghop accompanied by a lovely cup of tea... I'm so rock and roll when it comes to Saturday night!!

I'm starting to run out of time to make my deadline for blogtober day 13 so i thought I'd keep it simple.

Earlier on today i had yet a wee 'made it through a hellish day' Starbucks. And my current love seems to be causing a marmite reaction up and down the nation.

So I'm curious.....

Pumpkin Spice Latte, Love it or Hate it?

I'm evidently in the Love camp on this but reactions seem so varied.
If you haven't tried it make sure you get cream on it.

And if you Hate it whats your favourite Starbucks drink?

Oh and the smiley faces....cute barista boy not only knows my name without me telling him but has taken to drawing smiley faces on my drinks. Smiley faces all round  ;-)

Marshmallow Fireside

In my Most Wonderful Time of the Year post i briefly mentioned my insane jealousy of Americans and their easy access to Bath and Bodyworks and all the amazing sounding candles that are so hard to get a hold of here.

Long story short i hit eBay and a wee while later i'd ordered my first B&BW candle.

I give you Marshmallow Fireside:

I opted for a mini one as candle scents can be so subjective, and i'm particularly picky when it comes to these things. Didn't quite think it'd be this small though....kind of like a large tea light.

I cant even begin to explain how much i love this scent, it sweet but almost slightly masculine with the woody notes. It reminds me of being a kid and, well, toasting marshmallows on a fire (funny that!). I currently live in a flat in a city so opportunities to actually do this for real don't happen very often.

In short it smells incredible.

The minute i opened the package i knew that i want NEED a giant one.

Now my only problem is the price of getting on of the big ones shipped to me. eBay is uber pricey and the glimmer of hope that was bath and bodyshop doesn't have any left.

Don't suppose any American readers are feeling generous.......? ;-)

Whats your favourite candle scent?

Speaking of readers i'd like to say Hello and Welcome to my new followers, it means a lot to me that you've taken the time to follow. It also makes me feel less like i'm insanely talking to myself. I look forward to getting to know you all,x
